Roller Guides for Car and Counterweight

Elevator roller guides are guiding components that ensure the elevator car or counterweight moves quietly, stably, and in a controlled manner along the guide rail. They operate by rolling on the rail through rollers rather than sliding. This helps provide balanced contact and reduce vibration and noise.

Elevator Roller Guides— Product Features

TMS Lift roller guides are manufactured for car-side (KP) and counterweight-side (KAP) applications.

To maintain structural strength while providing a lighter construction, the body is made of high-strength aluminium.

The rollers are made of 90–95 ShA ether-based polyurethane. Thanks to the high-quality polyurethane coating, problems such as flattening or deformation do not occur under proper operating conditions.

The structure also offers a wide adjustment range to support installation alignment and rail contact setting.

Roller Guide Selection Guide

Select the roller guide by installation side (KAP vs KP), then finalize by adjustment range, roller sizes, and load rating from the catalog.

  • Installation side:
    • KAP models (KAP-1, KAP-2): developed for the counterweight side of elevators.
    • KP models (KP-1, KP-2, KP-3, KP-4): developed for the car side of elevators.
  • Speed class: Verify the system is within the listed limit (up to 1.6 m/s for these models).
  • Adjustment range: Choose the model by the available adjustment range shown in your catalog:
    • KAP: 5–16 mm adjustment
    • KP: 5–20 mm adjustment
  • Roller geometry and capacity: Confirm Roller A size and Roller B size, and verify the maximum load on Roller A at 2.5 m/s meets the project requirement (use the model page/catalog table).
  • Dimensional interface and weight: finalize using the catalog dimensions K, L, M, r, n (mm) and weight (kg) to match the mounting layout.
