Elevator Pulleys

Elevator pulleys (rope sheaves) guide the suspension ropes and transfer load within the roping arrangement.
TMS Lift supplies GG-25 cast iron pulley solutions across deflection, reeving (pulley block), and hydraulic applications, with project-specific dimensions and bearing options.

Product Features

TMS Lift elevator pulleys are manufactured from GG-25 grade cast iron. After casting, pulleys are brought to high quality standards through precision machining and runout correction processes, supporting smooth, vibration-reduced, and safe rope guidance in operation. Products are manufactured in compliance with TS EN 81-50, meeting the technical requirements defined for elevator components used in controlled system operation.

Bearing integration can be specified according to project requirements. Upon request, production can be carried out using different bearing brands such as SKF, FAG, or ORS. Pulleys and shafts can also be manufactured in various diameters, widths, and shaft sizes in accordance with technical drawings, enabling application-specific solutions.

The pulley range is offered in subcategories tailored to different needs, including deflection pulleys, pulley block (reeving) pulleys, hydraulic pulleys, and plastic pulleys. See the “Elevator Pulley Models” section for available variants.

Elevator Pulleys — Selection Guide

Select the pulley by application type, then finalize using the catalog parameters (OP, grooves, rope diameter, groove form, and bearing code):

  • Application type:
  • ØP (mm): Select the pulley diameter value shown in the catalog.
  • Number of grooves: Select the required groove count listed for that ØP.
  • Rope diameter (max Ø mm): Confirm your rope diameter is within the catalog maximum.
  • Groove dimensions: Use the catalog groove values C (mm), A (mm), V (mm) for the selected pulley.
  • ØR (mm): Select the ØR value listed for the pulley (or the ØR options shown, e.g., Ø50/Ø55).
  • Side support: Where the design requires external bearing support for the pulley shaft, select the side support by shaft diameter and mounting dimensions as specified in the technical drawing (rigid steel construction, precision machined).
